The Parallel History Museum is the only institution of its kind in the known multiverse: a pseudo-virtual, polyconscious construct dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of the natural and cultural histories of all Earths. Its ongoing twofold mission: to foster understanding and cooperation between timelines, and to promote critical and creative thought within realities. As such, the museum strives to showcase the dynamic nature of the multiplicities of history that shape cultures, and vice versa. It houses a collection of artifacts and specimens, with descriptions that provide context for their Earths of origin.
Founded in 1952 (Earth 000001), the museum’s construction was loosely based on the work started by Erwin Schrödinger. It is funded through generous donations from public and private entities, and sales from the museum’s little shop (under renovation). It survives due to the efforts of a dedicated team of parallel historians who serve as researchers, contributing artists, and collaborators.
The roster includes individuals from a wide variety of disciplines, from graphic design to competitive plumbing, all committed to the museum’s continued existence. At the moment, their identities are being kept secret so as to protect them from spacetime banditos.
